Job description

We are seeking a talented Backend-Focused Full Stack Developer to manage, optimize, and scale the critical infrastructure powering our product ecosystem. Because our systems handle high-frequency data streaming from physical hardware infrastructure alongside massive global meteorological datasets, this role focuses heavily on server networking, database architecture, and backend software optimization to ensure low-latency delivery across all consumer and enterprise tiers., * Infrastructure & Networking: Architect, maintain, and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure, with a direct focus on high-throughput server networking to support real-time data streaming.

  • IoT & Database Management: Oversee relational database management systems (MySQL), designing highly efficient schemas optimized for heavy write loads from real-time environmental sensors.
  • Data Pipeline Optimization: Build robust, highly available pipelines capable of ingest, processing, and caching (using Memcached) large meteorological datasets down to client applications.
  • Systems Scalability: Ensure the backend infrastructure dynamically scales to handle extreme traffic spikes during severe weather events across commercial and public sectors.

Frontend Integration & UI Optimization

  • Cross-Stack Integration: Collaborate across the stack using PHP and JavaScript to pipe data cleanly from server infrastructure to diverse web and mobile endpoints.
  • Data Visualization Performance: Work with graphics tools (specifically WebGL 1 and 2) to ensure dense data overlays, maps, and tracking tools render smoothly on performance-constrained mobile and desktop devices.
  • Technical Integrity: Troubleshoot and debug complex multi-tier software issues, ensuring high responsiveness across consumer, B2B, and government interfaces.
  • Documentation: Maintain rigorous technical documentation for database schemas, server configurations, and API endpoints.

Requirements

  • Backend Expertise: Strong professional experience in backend development, server-side programming (PHP, JavaScript), and API architecture.
  • Database & Caching Mastery: Deep proficiency with SQL (MySQL) database design, performance tuning, and implementation of high-efficiency caching systems (Memcached).
  • AWS Infrastructure: Hands-on experience managing AWS components, specifically focusing on server provisioning, network routing, and scaling data loads.
  • API Management: Comprehensive knowledge of building and maintaining robust RESTful APIs for real-time applications.

Preferred & Full Stack Skills

  • Frontend Literacy: Proficient in standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Graphics Development: Experience or strong interest in graphics programming via WebGL 1/2 for data-heavy map renderings.
  • Platform & Hardware Awareness: General understanding of mobile application constraints (Android & iOS) and interest in how backend systems interface with hardware/IoT monitoring stations.
  • Version Control: Solid workflow experience with SVN or Git.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
