Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our complex IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across all systems. Your expertise will drive seamless system operations, support software solutions, and implement automation strategies to enhance efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the backbone of our organization’s digital environment., * Oversee system architecture design, including configuration management and system tuning to optimize performance across diverse operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and UNIX.

  • Manage server administration tasks including setup, deployment, backup, recovery, and ongoing maintenance for physical and virtual servers using VMware, ESXi, Kubernetes, and other virtualization platforms.
  • Implement and support service-oriented architecture (SOA) frameworks and microservices to facilitate scalable and flexible application deployment.
  • Administer Active Directory management, DNS configuration, DHCP services, firewall settings, VPNs, and network security protocols to safeguard organizational data.
  • Develop scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Shell Scripting to automate routine tasks such as system updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Support software implementation and administration for enterprise applications like Pegasystems, Oracle databases (PL/SQL), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting including RAID controller issues, load balancing challenges, performance tuning, and resolving technical support requests related to systems & applications support.
  • Manage system storage solutions including SANs and NAS devices ensuring efficient storage management aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams using DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git to streamline deployment processes.
  • Monitor system health using tools for performance analysis; perform regular system tuning to maximize uptime and reliability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in system administration across multiple platforms including Windows Server (2016/2019), Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), and UNIX environments.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services including AWS and Azure for infrastructure management and deployment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or JavaScript for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, DHCP configuration, RESTful APIs integration, and information security best practices.
  • Expertise in database management systems like Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies, DevOps tools (Jenkins), Git version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly while maintaining high service levels.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or VMware Certified Professional are preferred but not mandatory.
