Job description

In the role of Senior Solution Analyst, you will be a core part of our Integration domain, connecting our application landscape through API gateways, cloud-native microservices, event platforms, process orchestration, and more. You will turn complex integration challenges into precise solution specifications that our engineering squads can build with confidence, working closely with our solution architects and enterprise architects, contributing to stack evolution and security by design., * Analysis and specification: Translate business and application needs into precise, implementable integration specifications, API contracts, data mappings, and sequence diagrams and BPMN flows, with a clear anticipation of error conditions and edge cases.

  • Non-functional and operational requirements: Specify observability for integration flows, covering logging, monitoring, distributed tracing with correlation across systems, health and error signals, and alerting (including threshold and anomaly-based detection).
  • API management and security: Specify solutions across our API gateways, covering API management and inbound/outbound security, proxy and policy design, token handling, versioning, and consumer contract management.
  • Identity and security by design: Specify strong authentication and authorization for application integration, covering RBAC, OAuth / JWT, SSO and federated identity, MFA, certificate lifecycle, and encryption in transit and at rest. Security is central to this role, not an afterthought.
  • Cloud-native microservices: Analyse and document integration contracts for Spring Boot microservices across containerised and cloud environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes / GKE, GCP) and serverless runtimes; define event-driven and messaging patterns (GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka).
  • Architecture collaboration: Work with the solution architects of transversal domains for the structural architecture of your functional design; work with enterprise architects to align on integration patterns, end-to-end journeys, and reuse across the landscape.
  • Strategic capabilities: Participate in the evolution of our integration patterns and technology stack, and potentially in process modernisation rollouts such as domain driven design, orchestration, and AI-assisted automation.
  • Delivery and governance: Partner with engineers, architects and QA through build and test phases; own specification clarifications and defect triage; and contribute to the maintenance of interface inventory, API registry and solution catalogue.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in solution analysis with a strong integration focus.
  • Hands-on understanding of cloud-native architecture, Spring Boot microservices, and integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of GCP ecosystem and how projects and components interact; excellent knowledge of Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Armor, VPC, GKE and the GCP Developer Portal.
  • Expertise in integration principles and API gateways; knowledge of API lifecycle, API management and API security, REST, JSON, JWT, OAuth.
  • Knowledge of IAM principles including RBAC, SSO and federated identity, MFA, and certificate lifecycle.
  • Experience deploying microservices in containerised and cloud environments (OpenShift, GCP, or similar), with a proactive willingness to adapt to our internal stack.
  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring, distributed tracing and alerting for integration flows would be a plus.
  • Agile delivery, comfortable in Jira and Confluence.
  • Fluent English and French or Dutch.

Benefits & conditions

  • A pivotal role in augmenting our journey of cloud-native, API-first integration with upcoming initiatives and projects.
  • A collaborative, expert team working closely with our architecture community, with real investment in new capabilities and cutting-edge technology.
  • A competitive salary package with benefits in line with Belgian market standards.
  • A hybrid working model with flexibility.
  • Full support for your onboarding into our specific infrastructure stack, and continuous learning in current integration technology.
