Job description

As Insights Analyst at Saputo, you will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the business by providing recommendations to influence key decisions. In this role you will leverage your analytical skills, technical expertise and industry knowledge to help facilitate our strategic growth plans by translating trends into actionable insights that deliver strong business results.

How you will make contributions that matter…

  • Lead insights-related to aspects of joint business planning initiatives with our largest Retail and Foodservice customers, monitoring trends across sales, distribution, assortment, pricing, promotions and shopper behavior to uncover insights and provide recommendations.
  • Performance analysis: track category, segment, brands, and SKU performance to discover and explain key findings as part of the analysis to elevate team’s category knowledge.
  • Support development of fact-based selling stories to support sales initiatives and identify white space opportunities for specific retailer/categories.
  • Synthesize data across multiple data sources, identify insights and present recommendations to address key business issues and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Marketing, Innovation, Culinary, and Sales to execute and generate insights to drive decision-making.
  • Work with data vendors to provide Best-in-Class reporting for the organization.
  • Own the new item review and verification process with our primary retail POS data source, in collaboration with the supplier partner.
  • Build and maintain standardized reports, scorecards, and trackers from multiple sources.
  • Answer ad-hoc analytical requests from Sales and Category teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, category management, consumer insights or related field. CPG preferred; dairy experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
  • Experience with Retail data sources e.g. Circana syndicated POS data. Experience with Nielsen, Kantar, Stratum, Foodservice insights and/or other data resources are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Curiosity & analytical mindset with proven ability to drive growth through analytics and critical thinking.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels within the organization (including external customers).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently with minimal guidance from manager.
  • Some travel may be required.

Salary range: $61,820 - $81,140

Salary offers vary commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.

Hybrid office (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
