Top Secret FPGA Firmware Engineer (Mid-Level)

Insight Global is seeking a Mid-level FPGA Embedded Engineer to join a research and development group supporting an Army program out of Aberdeen, MD. As an embedded hardware engineer, you will not only design and develop these systems but evolve them with advanced technology solutions to contribute to modeling and Simulation for EW and Cyber, and newly developed Cyber and EW capabilities. We are seeking a candidate eager to combine software development skills with FPGA or ASIC system design experience to deliver innovative engineering solutions that will directly impact the warfighter. A successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and embedded systems, who is passionate about system configuration and design, and has hands-on experience implementing software into embedded hardware platforms. Solution-oriented thinkers thrive in this flexible and creative environment.

$58hr to $78hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

*5+ years of experience with electrical engineering

*Active Secret Security Clearence

*Experience implementing software into embedded hardware systems

*FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) or ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) system design, development and testing experience

*VHDL or Verilog programming experience

*Experience developing integrated solutions that leverage both the embedded processor and FPGA fabric of Xilinx SoC and RFSoC devices

• Experience with digital RF sampling, modulations, error correction, or compression *Top Secret or SCI clearance

*Experience with DSP signal processing algorithms

*Hands on experience with DMA blocks

*Experience with C, C++, and MATLAB

• Knowledge of Linux distributions, including RedHat and Rocky Linux

*Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related IT field
