Job description

The Business Intelligence Officer will support the planning, development, and continuous improvement of business intelligence functions, including data collection, performance reporting, analysis, benchmarking, business planning, research, and needs assessment.

You will work closely with managers and stakeholders to provide accurate and insightful performance information, helping to identify trends, monitor service delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives., * Produce and deliver regular performance reports, dashboards, and management information using a range of reporting tools.

  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities, and data quality issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on performance and business intelligence matters.
  • Support the development and monitoring of KPIs and performance measures aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Contribute to business planning, benchmarking, research, consultation, and service improvement activities.
  • Manage reporting deadlines and support responses to information requests, including Freedom of Information enquiries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Business Intelligence, Performance, Data Analysis, or Reporting role.
  • Strong experience analysing data and translating findings into meaningful business insight and recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, reporting, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of performance management frameworks and operational performance measurement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
