Job description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Transport Management System (TMS) across a national operation.

This is not a traditional IT project.

It is a large-scale business transformation programme that will fundamentally change how products are delivered to customers through automation, digital technology and integrated business processes.

Working closely with senior operational and technology leaders, you will take ownership of a business-critical programme that has already identified more than £1 million in annual savings, with significant additional opportunities expected.

The discovery, business analysis and supplier selection have already been completed. The preferred supplier is about to be appointed.

Your role is to take ownership of implementation and lead the programme through planning, mobilisation, rollout and successful adoption across the business.

Following completion of the TMS programme, you will move on to other strategic transformation initiatives including API-led integration programmes, AI-enabled solutions and Direct-to-Customer (DTC) transformation.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for delivering a complex, cross-functional business transformation programme that spans Operations, IT and Customer Services.
