Teir 1 SOC Analyst

The Tier 1 (T1) Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst position is a true with no prior cybersecurity experience required. We will train you on our systems and processes so that you can effectively accomplish the following four primary job responsibilities:

• 24×7 Monitoring: Continuously observe security events from customer networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud workloads via centralized tools. This enables the detection of anomalies or signs of attack in real-time.
• Analysis & Triage: Investigate alerts and logs to determine validity and severity. Distinguish false positives from true incidents by leveraging our and platforms.
• Documentation: Record analysis steps, findings, and decisions in our ticketing system. Maintain clear incident logs and timelines for each event.
• Escalation: Follow defined procedures to escalate confirmed or high-risk incidents to incident responders or client contacts.

While not required, experience in the following areas would make your training easier:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Networking
• SIEM and SOAR platforms
• Customer Service/Support, * Must be a US citizen
• Must be able to pass a Federal background check
• Must live in or close to Bozeman, MT
• Possess a strong desire to learn
• Ability to communicate clearly in high stress situations
• Ability to professionally interact with customers through written tickets and phone calls
• Ability to work weekends, overnights, and holidays if necessary
