Job description

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Build and enhance microservices and API-driven applications that support enterprise contact center operations.
  • Develop middleware and integration services that connect internal systems with third-party platforms such as Workday, Verint, and other workforce management solutions.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives impacting thousands of users.
  • Architect event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka and distributed systems principles.
  • Review system designs, source code, and technical solutions to ensure quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and software development processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the broader engineering organization.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies, including Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities, where they can create measurable business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience developing and delivering scalable enterprise applications.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience building and deploying microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience with modern front-end development using React.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, containerized applications, and OpenShift/Cloud Foundry-based platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing event-driven systems using Kafka.
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support., * Experience developing Generative AI solutions, including LLM integrations and AI agents.
  • Experience within Contact Center Technology environments.
  • Experience building integrations with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Verint, or similar workforce management solutions.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience developing middleware and integration solutions in complex enterprise ecosystems.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Contact Center Technology team, you will play a key role in modernizing and transforming enterprise contact center platforms used by more than 30,000 employees. You will help drive the migration of critical contact center technologies from on-premises environments to cloud-based infrastructure while delivering scalable software solutions that enhance workforce management, quality management, performance management, and call recording capabilities.

You will design and build cloud-native applications, APIs, and middleware services that bridge functionality gaps between vendor platforms and internal systems. The role requires strong collaboration with engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience across the organization.
