Job description
We are seeking an intermediate-level specialist to coordinate IT compliance and audit activities. You will act as the bridge between technical teams and auditors-planning for upcoming reviews, gathering evidence, and tracking corrective action plans from identification to final closure.
Requirements
- IT Audit & Risk Processes: Direct experience coordinating IT audits, conducting control assessments, and managing audit evidence collection.
- Frameworks & Regulations: Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and IRS Publication 1075.
- Remediation Tracking: Demonstrated experience creating, monitoring, and closing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Governance & Documentation: Ability to identify documentation gaps and assist technical staff in drafting or updating IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Preferred (Stand-Out) Qualifications:
- Direct experience supporting audits for the IRS, SSA, or State Auditor offices.
- Active professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CGRC, or Security+.
Education Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
