Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database solutions using Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, and TOAD.
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL queries.
  • Design and implement efficient database schemas, data models, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Monitor and tune Oracle databases using Query Optimizer, Execution Plans, Indexing, and database statistics.
  • Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts to automate database operations and execute SQL scripts.
  • Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability.
  • Work with advanced Oracle features including Table Partitioning, Materialized Views, Table Functions, Collections, Analytical Functions, Query Rewrite, and Transportable Tablespaces.
  • Support data warehouse initiatives and ETL processes using tools such as Actian/Pentaho.
  • Install, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle and other database management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database development, maintenance, and production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, TOAD, and client-server application development.
  • Strong experience with Oracle performance tuning including Query Optimizer, Execution Plans, SQL optimization, and Indexing.
  • Experience with advanced Oracle database features including Table Functions, Table Partitioning, Materialized Views, Collections, Analytical Functions, Query Rewrite, and Transportable Tablespaces.
  • 3+ years of experience developing Unix/Linux Shell Scripts (Bash, KornShell, Bourne Shell, or C Shell).
  • 2+ years of experience with Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with database administration, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, database design, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
