Job description

We’re partnering with our client, a dynamic software development company, to find a talented Software Engineer III. This temporary position is based on-site in Los Angeles. Join a team focused on cutting-edge AI projects that enhance content creation workflows and empower creatives.

Software Engineer III Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain tools and processes in collaboration with Art teams.
  • Work with cross-disciplinary developers to gather requirements and guide technical design.
  • Contribute significantly to the codebase, ensuring quality and maintainability.
  • Help define technical standards and architecture for the team.
  • Provide mentorship to other engineers across various aspects of game development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years in game development.
  • At least 3 years of experience creating tools for artists and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience developing tools within Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
  • Skilled with modern content creation tools such as Maya and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in modern cross-platform frameworks like Qt, Electron, or React.
  • Deep understanding of game and software design patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Significant contributions to at least one shipped game.
  • Bonus: 3+ years of Unreal Engine experience, familiarity with Generative AI, ML frameworks, and modern C++.
