Job description
Abner Solar is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to establish and manage the production materials warehouse for our new manufacturing facility.
As the first warehouse professional supporting production operations, you will be responsible for inventory control, material receiving and issuing, warehouse organization, and inventory accuracy. Since the warehouse is in its start-up phase, this role will rely heavily on Microsoft Excel to manage inventory until a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is implemented. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of building efficient warehouse processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain warehouse organization and inventory control processes for production materials.

Receive, inspect, store, and issue raw materials and production supplies.

Maintain accurate inventory records and material transactions using Microsoft Excel.

Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.

Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials.

Coordinate material movement with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics teams.

Maintain proper documentation for material receipts, issues, transfers, and inventory reports.

Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and organize materials.

Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company safety standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations and inventory management.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
5+ years of warehouse, inventory control, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience independently managing warehouse operations and inventory with minimal supervision.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience managing inventory in the absence of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Experience with material receiving, issuing, cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation.

Valid forklift certification and hands-on forklift operating experience are required.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and inventory accuracy.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced start-up manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a warehouse environment.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience supporting a manufacturing start-up or greenfield facility.

Experience handling high-value production materials.
-
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Knowledge of warehouse best practices, inventory control procedures, and material handling.
