Job description
This position is hands-on and focused on day-to-day IT and security operations. The Help Desk Technician will support staff with technology needs, manage user accounts, maintain laptops and applications, and oversee physical security systems like cameras and access cards. The role also requires coordination with outside vendors and security consultants to keep systems reliable and secure., IT Support & Device Management
- Provide help desk support for employees (hardware, software, connectivity issues).
- Set up, configure, and maintain laptops and mobile devices.
- Handle imaging, software installs, updates, and patching.
- Track and manage IT inventory (laptops, peripherals, access cards).
Accounts & Applications
- Create, update, and deactivate user accounts (email, applications, access permissions).
- Manage group memberships, password resets, and licensing.
- Support application administration (basic configuration, troubleshooting, and vendor escalation).
Security Operations
- Manage and monitor security cameras, including system health checks and footage review as needed.
- Oversee access card system (issuing, updating, deactivating employee badges).
- Respond to alerts or incidents and escalate security issues when necessary.
- Work with external technology and security consulting firms to maintain and improve systems.
Vendor & Project Support
- Coordinate with outside vendors on hardware, software, and security system issues.
- Assist with implementation of new applications, security tools, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Document system changes and maintain up-to-date process guides.
Requirements

We are a small team and we must have a team-oriented culture with personal accountability and responsibility., * Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware, software, and network basics).
- Experience with Windows and/or Mac laptop setup and support.
- Understanding of user account management and access control.
- Familiarity with security camera systems and badge access management.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests.
- Clear communication skills when working with employees and outside vendors.
