Requirements

You are a passionate front-end engineer who loves to code. You love to take ideas and build great products with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You know JavaScript is imperfect, but you embrace its functional side and genuinely enjoy coding with it. You might like to talk about obscure computer science topics, but really, you just want to write simple code and ship new products and features to customers (or improve existing ones). You have an eye for design and user experience. You care about more than just the code. You care about the customer experience and help our customers make better decisions while shopping. You love learning new things. You love researching new tech and driving forward with the implementation details. Your focus is on frontend JavaScript code, but you can dig in wherever needed. Node.js, GraphQL, NextJS, Nx, build tools, shell scripts, you name it. If you don’t already know it, you’re ready to learn it. You understand performance, A/B tests, web vitals, front end optimization and can write code to bring them to life too. You love helping others. You love sharing knowledge with the rest of your team, building shared tooling for other engineers, giving back to the open-source community, and directly helping customers., * 4+ years of experience in object-oriented design and software development

  • 4+ years of experience in building responsive, single page web applications using modern front-end JavaScript technologies like React, Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of React, Node.JS and its core principles
  • 4+ years of experience in creating and/or consuming RESTful web services
  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Expertise with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience, Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

    • Help out with our Node-based developer platform.
    • Share what you know and learn either one-on-one or with lightning talks to the group.
