Job description

Support data engineering, analysis, and automation for a business intelligence platform.
Maintain platform availability with site reliability engineering principles.
Elicit requirements, analyze data, develop analytics, and implement ETL workflows.
Design, develop, and integrate solutions for large data sets.
Guide junior software engineers and data scientists.
Develop software in Java and Python.
Deploy containers with Docker and Kubernetes.
Manage version control with Git and Gitlab.
Perform Linux System Administration.
Contribute to technical documentation.
Experience with NiFi, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Hadoop, Map Reduce, SIGINT, CNO, and UI/UX Design., * Be a member of the Mission Intelligence (MI) team supporting a variety of data engineering, analysis, and automation efforts.
Maintain a business intelligence platform supporting data-driven decisions in the enterprise.
Ensure the availability of this mission-essential platform.
Contribute as a software engineer and analytic developer to design, develop, and integrate solutions involving the analysis of large data sets.
Incrementally incorporate site reliability engineering principles into the existing operational platform.
Maintain and advance a mission-essential business intelligence platform.
Elicit requirements from stakeholders, gather and analyze available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics.
Develop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets.
Design and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data.
Augment the platform with new tools or technologies.
Provide guidance to more junior software engineers and data scientists.
Communicate clearly through written documentation.

Requirements

Degree: Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Years of experience: 12+ years
Total Compensation: $308k+ yearly, * Production-grade software development experience in Java and Python.
Experience or familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
Familiarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards.
Experience with productizing software as containers and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes.
Confidence with Git and Gitlab for software version control.
Confidence with basic to intermediate Linux System Administration tasks.
Willingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing written documentation.
