Job description

Capstone IT is an experienced Integration Engineer to support enterprise modernization and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building APIs, microservices, and integration solutions using MuleSoft, Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, while integrating modern applications with legacy mainframe environments.

This role will focus on connecting cloud-based applications and services with established enterprise platforms, including insurance and financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support MuleSoft integrations, APIs, and microservices.
  • Build and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Integrate cloud-based applications with legacy mainframe systems.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
  • Participate in solution design, testing, deployments, and production support.
  • Troubleshoot issues and support application modernization initiatives.
  • Contribute to Agile development, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering and integration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft integration development.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience with AWS cloud development.
  • Experience integrating with legacy mainframe systems, preferably within insurance or financial services environments.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and modern development practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments., * Experience integrating with insurance policy administration systems such as CAPSIL, INGENIUM, or similar platforms.
  • Experience connecting modern API-based applications to legacy mainframe environments.
  • Insurance, annuity, or financial services industry experience.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot.
