Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure supporting our organization’s products and services. This role is responsible for cloud provisioning, automation, security, and cost optimization, and requires an individual who can independently evaluate existing infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency., * Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure/GCP, depending on environment), including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent, repeatable, and auditable infrastructure changes
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployment processes
  • Monitor system performance and cloud expenditure, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policy management, network segmentation, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Automate operational and administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues across development, staging, and production environments
  • Collaborate with development teams to promote cloud-native architecture and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, with an emphasis on root cause resolution and long-term system stability

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda) or equivalent services on Azure or GCP
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, with Terraform experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and operational tooling
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPCs, subnets, load balancing, and DNS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and logging platforms (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and relevant compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, or industry equivalent)
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents in a timely and effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent industry certification
  • Experience operating in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization tools
  • Prior experience in a high-growth or scaling organization where infrastructure decisions directly influenced business outcomes
