Job description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Product - Embedded Software to support the development of advanced navigation and positioning solutions for a leading engineering and technology organization.

This role will focus on designing, implementing, testing, and validating embedded software and GNSS navigation algorithms while supporting the development of innovative navigation products and systems., * Design, develop, test, and document complex GNSS navigation algorithms for embedded systems using C/C++

  • Apply advanced GNSS navigation algorithms and estimation theory to support navigation product development
  • Participate in software, algorithm, and system design reviews
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and engineering standards
  • Design validation processes to ensure solutions meet functionality, performance, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and product engineering teams to deliver new features and improvements
  • Analyze engineering data and evaluate compliance with technical standards and specifications
  • Support engineering testing, implementation, and product validation activities
  • Contribute to process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Lead or support small- to medium-scale engineering projects and track project progress, risks, and deliverables
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across engineering teams

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in GNSS positioning algorithms, embedded software development, estimation theory, and navigation system design. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams., * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

  • Experience developing embedded software using C/C++
  • Strong experience with GNSS navigation systems and positioning algorithms
  • Knowledge of estimation theory and navigation system fundamentals
  • Experience with software design, development, testing, and validation processes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience participating in design reviews and technical evaluations
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and engineering specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work onsite in Torrance, CA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems
  • Experience with GPS/GNSS-based navigation products and solutions
  • Knowledge of navigation, guidance, localization, or autonomous systems technologies
  • Experience working on automotive, aerospace, robotics, defense, or advanced technology products
  • Project management or technical leadership experience
  • Experience with engineering standards, compliance requirements, and validation methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering complex engineering projects from concept through implementation
