Api Design Data Pipelines

Job description

Participate in requirements-gathering sessions.

Document data models necessary to tie disparate data sources together.

Develop data pipelines following industry best practices to transform data on ingress and egress.

Work directly with technical staff to create and maintain technical documentation.

Maintain an active backlog that is continuously updated and re-prioritized.

Requirements

US Citizen

Active Secret security clearance (required)

5 or more years of professional experience performing in data engineering roles

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or equivalent

Experience using Python

Experience using SQL

Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or equivalent

Experience with Cloud system implementation

Experience with Federal information systems

Strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodology

Experience with Jira Software

Excellent oral and written communication

Ability to follow security protocol to protect sensitive data

Ability to pass or obtain a T2 background investigation

Highly Desired Qualifications

Experience with API development

Experience as a technical team lead, mentoring more junior developers and supporting the team across many tasks

Possession of CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent certification, * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * API Development: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Scrum: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Professional: 5 years (Preferred)
  • SQL: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Spark Hadoop or Equivalent: 2 years (Preferred)
