Software Developer - ReferralMD

Interested in working in Healthcare IT with an experienced product team working to improve referral network communications for physicians, nurses, patients, and insurance companies? This opportunity has it all! ReferralMD is recruiting a Software Developer to work on our medical health records platform.

As a Software Developer on the ReferralMD product team, you will build scalable and robust cloud services that enhance our customer workflows and integrate with their existing EHR implementations.

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Significant experience with Node.js for server-side development
• Strong programming experience with MongoDB database management and operations
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment
• Experience with healthcare applications and healthcare IT systems preferred
• Knowledge of Mirth Connect integration engine is a strong plus
• Experience with automated deploy and delivery including Docker, etc.
• Understanding of functional and event-driven programming
• Understanding of core Linux systems
• Understanding of networking, protocols, and API architecture
• BS, MS in Computer Science, Applied Math or related Engineering fields preferred
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm optimization
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Can translate user inputs to software requirements and design specifications and effectively communicate with team members
• Knowledge of Agile software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) is a plus
