Application Engineer + Infrastructure

• Looking to onboard a middleware specialist to provide platform engineering tooling automation and elevated production support services conforming to client’s security blueprints and focused on performance reliability and scalability by understanding the technical requirement from application owners and business participate in technical evaluation of vendors and vendor technologies conduct proof of concept packaging and deploying middleware products.
• The team also supports strategic initiatives like cloud migration containerization SRE and agile transformation build and manage services across LCG
• This team also partners with central technology teams like Infrastructure Security Network Database and procurement to design and deliver solutions
• The team leverages a variety of tools for platform design and application trouble shooting as they also provide level 4 support to the application operations team

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will apply technical skills to design build and automate application platforms both on premises and cloud Partner with other teams like enterprise infrastructure MIS networking security storage and database and data center to roll out application platforms successfully as per the design
• Coordinate with development and business teams to obtain sign off for non-functional requirement testing
• Maintain a 360-degree view of an application and its underlying middleware and infrastructure components
• Produce reusable infrastructure designs patterns for future reference and periodically review refresh the same
• Support vendor technology onboarding following the client’s best practices and security blueprint
• Apply technical skills to automate daily support functions improve system stability support hygiene initiatives and deliver innovation that creates efficiency and consistency

We need Application Engineers with Infrastructure domain experience. Required skillset: Python, Cloud, DevOps, Linux.

Looking for a hands-on Application Infrastructure/Platform Engineer who can bridge infrastructure, middleware, cloud, and DevOps. The ideal candidate is someone who has spent years keeping large enterprise applications running reliably in production, automating operational tasks with Python, and modernizing platforms through cloud migration and containerization-not someone whose primary background is software development.

This is not a Python Developer or DevOps Engineer role, even though Python, Cloud, and Kubernetes are required. looking for an Application Infrastructure Engineer (Platform Engineer/Middleware Engineer) who can own the infrastructure that enterprise applications run on.

The ideal candidate has spent 7+ years supporting large enterprise applications, ensuring they are secure, stable, scalable, and highly available. They should be comfortable working between development teams and infrastructure teams., * Hands on experience of Operating Systems mainly Linux 7 and Windows Server 2016 and above and virtualization technologies like VMWare

• Hands on working experience of middleware technologies like Cloud platforms Azure or AWS Docker containers Kubernetes S3 ADLS web servers Apache IBM HTTPD Application Servers Web Sphere Tomcat Kafka and Airflow to include application integration configuration and troubleshooting
• Expert level scripting skills using Python mandatory Perl and Shell Identity management protocols like OIDC OAuth SAML LDAP integration
• Basic operational knowledge of RDBMS like DB2 Oracle MSSQL MySQL Postgres etc not all and query language Clear concept of load balancer firewalls web proxies and HTTP protocol storage platforms like NAS SAN from an implementation perspective only
• Familiar with basic security policies for secure hosting solutions Kerberos and standard encryption methodologies including SSL and TLS
• Prior experience managing large web-based n tier applications in secure environments on cloud
• Should have worked in an agile delivery model with exposure to CI CD

Nice to have skills

• Exposure to tools like App Dynamics Open Telemetry Prometheus Grafana Splunk Ansible etc
• Familiarity with NoSQL database MarkLogic MongoDB and SPARQL query languages
• Exposure to Big Data platforms like Hadoop Cloudera and Elastic
• Should have performed capacity planning and performance tuning exercise A system architecture developer work experience
• Experience 7 plus years in as similar role of hands-on application middleware specialist
• Prior experience of working in a global financial organization is an advantage
