Job description

This is a unique opportunity to support the installation and operation of automation equipment at a large state of the art packaging sortation facility.

The successful candidate will act as an integral part of the Retiina engineering team by supporting the installation and operational maintenance of package sorting systems. This position focuses in the area of electrical-mechanical automation and package sorting technologies.

Position requires full time work in Fairburn GA., * Perform technical tasks to install, commission and provide maintenance and operational support of high-speed sorting equipment at customer site.

  • Understand and utilize electrical and mechanical drawings for industrial control systems.
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical automation systems.
  • Repair and maintain systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, using hand tools, power tools, end precision-measuring and testing instruments.
  • Utilize multimeters, tachometers, oscilloscope or other tools to diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot industrial control systems.
  • Provides management and customers with timely and accurate technical information in a positive and straightforward manner.
  • Performs all activities in a safe manner and adheres to company policies and procedures relating to safety.

Requirements

Training will be provided for two to four weeks at the beginning of the assignment. Previous experience installing, commissioning, and supporting large electrical/mechanical equipment is beneficial. Candidate must be very hands-on and able to use mechanical and electrical tools. Must be a quick learner, the work is fast paced. Good communications skills are important for interfacing with customer and engineers on site.

Education: Engineering degree or new graduate with engineering degree.
