Job description

This is a project-focused role rather than day-to-day transactional finance. You’ll be auditing, cleaning up and automating across the finance function, working closely with the wider team and system developers to get everything talking to each other properly.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Auditing the customer listing and updating the monitored listing within the credit searching portal · Auditing the supplier listing and creating new supplier payment groups by payment type in Xero · Working with ERP developers to import company information into the ERP system and Xero · Auditing and tidying up nominal codes · Building a budget file that integrates with Xero and the management accounts pack in Excel · Creating a fixed asset register and completing a physical reconciliation of assets · Helping implement automated credit control processes, including workflow creation · Helping implement an automated customer onboarding process using Microsoft Power Automate · Building a cashflow that integrates with Xero and Chaser · Creating KPI dashboards in Xero for the MD and department heads · Producing a sales analysis reviewing GP by sales division, down to itemised level, using Xero

Requirements

· Strong working knowledge of Xero, this is non-negotiable · Advanced Excel skills, comfortable building budget files and management reporting packs · Experience with credit control processes and ideally credit control apps such as Chaser · Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow tools would be a real advantage · Experience working alongside system developers or on ERP data migration is a bonus · A solid all-round accounts background, AAT qualified or qualified by experience

The Person

You’re organised, self-sufficient and happy to take ownership of a project list and work through it methodically. You spot inefficiencies and enjoy fixing them, and you can communicate clearly with everyone from developers to directors. You don’t need hand-holding, you need a to-do list and access to the systems.
