Job description

The Analytics Engineer will:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Integrate data from core business systems such as finance, HR, and operational platforms.
  • Develop and improve a lakehouse architecture, supporting ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.
  • Create robust, well-structured data models using best practice approaches such as Kimball and star schema.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, usable data assets.
  • Support and enhance the Power BI reporting layer, including semantic models and DAX.
  • Help establish data standards, patterns, and ways of working as the data function grows.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial experience working in a cloud-based data environment, ideally Azure.
  • Solid SQL capability with experience building reliable, scalable data models.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling and reporting.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms and concepts such as lakehouse or medallion architecture.
  • Exposure to Databricks for data transformation and pipeline development is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
