Job description
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Teaching and Learning, this position is responsible for creating data reports for the School Board, assembling and submitting state compliance data elements (including the Report Card to the Public), and managing multiple standardized and alternative assessment programs. Furthermore, this position provides districtwide coordination and oversight for the English Language Learning (ELL/EL) Program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, guiding student identification, implementing learning plans, and facilitating instructional professional development. Additional responsibilities include managing the PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS), leading the implementation and maintenance of the district’s student data warehouse system, and analyzing school improvement data to support strategic plan initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, assessment, educational leadership, program management, or a closely related field.
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain upon hire, an Alaska Type-B Administrative Certificate.
- Demonstrated knowledge and successful experience working with public school data systems, accountability reporting, and educational assessments.

Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state laws regarding public education assessment, reporting frameworks, and English Learner compliance standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, statistics, or program management.

TERMS: The work year is determined by the School Board; Coordinator positions are typically for a 215-day contract period from August to June. Salary is determined by level of education and years of comparable work experience for placement on the JSAA Salary Schedule. This position is represented by the Juneau School Administrative Association collective bargaining unit. COMPENSATION: The annual salary range is Range G on the JSAA Salary Schedule $110,877.00 - $140,039.00 (placement is dependent on experience) for a 215-day contract from August to June. The Juneau School District offers an comprehensive benefits package which includes an employer-sponsored health plan (medical, dental and vision), employer paid life insurance plan, membership with the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) plan, and an optional, voluntary deferred compensation program is available.
