Data Analyst Student Support

The Data Analyst is responsible for monitoring and supporting the collection and analysis of discipline and attendance data and providing administrative support to personnel under the supervision of the Data Administrator of Student Support. Additionally, this role involves working with the Analyst Team, as needed, to provide support to schools on critical PowerSchool processes., * Demonstrates technical skill set and significant experience, with the ability to work independently.

• Create requested reports related to enrollment, discipline and attendance
• Assist with monitoring student absences and truancy processes/procedures
• Extract and monitor reports through PowerSchool and ALSDE to assess attendance and discipline trends
• Collaborate with school staff daily to assist with correcting attendance/discipline entry errors
• Assist with importing truancy activity files into PowerSchool to support District Resource Officers
• Monitor student enrollment for transitional students assigned to alternative placement through due process hearings
• Monitor student Section 504 plans online and onsite
• Upload Section 504 plans from each school into PowerSchool Special Programs
• Develops and maintains basic/advanced reporting capabilities within PowerSchool.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college in Business, Accounting, or IT related field
• Three (3) years of Student Information System (SIS) work experience in a k-12 environment, preferred
• Maintains Confidentiality of sensitive data and information
• SQL reporting knowledge preferred * Proficiency with PowerSchool SIS, certification preferred
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include creating reports, Vlook up functions, formulas, and building related queries
• Demonstrated knowledge of creating and modifying worksheets/templates in Acrobat Adobe, Section 4(3)(b), tenure may not be gained by time served in this position) .
