SAP SCM Technical Lead

Our utilities industry client is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Technical Lead to lead the technical architecture, development, and implementation of SAP Supply Chain Management solutions supporting field operations and enterprise procurement workflows.

This role will own the end-to-end technical architecture across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), inventory, warehouse, logistics, and vendor management , leveraging SAP S/4HANA (MM, EWM, TM) and SAP Ariba , while ensuring seamless integration with Finance (FI/CO), EAM/PM, and IS-U environments., Solution Architecture & Leadership

• Lead architecture design and governance of SAP SCM solutions and technical roadmaps
• Chair solution design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
• Provide leadership to technical teams and implementation partners
• Establish development standards, release planning processes, and delivery frameworks

Procure-to-Pay & Vendor Management

• Drive optimization of requisitions, sourcing, purchase orders, goods receipt, and invoice verification workflows
• Oversee vendor master data lifecycle strategy and governance
• Implement scalable procurement frameworks with compliance-driven approval workflows

SAP Ariba Integration

• Lead integrations between S/4HANA and SAP Ariba (SLP, Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing)
• Utilize SAP CPI/BTP, OData, SOAP, IDocs, and SFTP for enterprise integrations

Inventory, Warehouse & Logistics

• Architect inventory and warehouse solutions supporting field operations
• Support EWM storerooms and transportation planning using SAP TM
• Ensure alignment with maintenance and asset lifecycle workflows

Enterprise Integrations

• Lead integrations across: *

• EAM / PM
• IS-U
• FI/CO
• Project Systems (PS)
• GIS platforms
• OEMs, 3PL providers, eCatalogs, and EDI environments

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Support development of dashboards tracking supplier performance, spend, and contract compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across SCM processes

The ideal candidate brings strong SAP MM expertise, integration experience with Ariba, and prior leadership experience delivering enterprise SCM solutions in complex environments., * 7+ years of SAP SCM experience ( MM required; EWM/TM preferred )

• 3+ years in a technical lead or solution architecture role
• Minimum 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations
• Strong experience integrating SAP Ariba with S/4HANA
• Deep knowledge of SAP MM and Fiori applications
• Working knowledge of ABAP troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, * Experience supporting utilities industry procurement and field logistics environments
• Integration experience with EAM/PM and IS-U
• SAP MM / SCM or Ariba certifications
• PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance (with strong technical background), or related field required.
