VBMS Admin

Think of the VBMS Admin as the backbone that keeps every case moving through the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS). You are the one submitting Power of Attorney (POA) and Intent to File (ITF) paperwork, pulling new and updated C-files, managing fee agreements, and ensuring crucial evidence routes perfectly once a claim is underway.

This is a detail-driven, high-volume operational role. While you won’t be building the case strategy, you are the critical link that ensures nothing in VBMS stalls or falls through the cracks., * Quality control: review forms for signatures and accuracy, coordinate the retrieval of corrected signatures where necessary.

• File management: download Veteran C-files and manage the submission of fee agreements and terminations.
• Evidence routing: upload and route new evidence or documentation received after a claim is underway.
• Daily operations: execute daily VBMS downloads and promptly handle internal requests for decision letters, C&P exams, and document lookups.
• Compliance: maintain absolute data integrity and confidentiality in compliance with VA regulations and firm policies.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner closely with claims processing and evidence teams to keep case files updated in real time.

Important Security Requirement

This role requires VBMS system access. You must be willing and able to pass a federal background investigation and fingerprinting in order to be issued a PIV (Personal Identity Verification) card. Because you cannot perform the job without a PIV card, clearing this process is a strict requirement, not a formality., * Technical setup: a reliable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps) and quiet working area is required for this remote position.

• Execution: a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Digital proficiency: strong computer literacy with the ability to navigate complex digital databases and software efficiently.
• Background clearance: absolute willingness and ability to clear the federal background check and fingerprinting required to obtain and maintain PIV card access (non-negotiable).
• Background: prior experience in high-volume data entry, document processing, or administrative case management is highly valued.
• Note: prior VBMS-specific experience is a plus, but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
