Senior Maximo IT Consultant

The Senior Maximo IT Functional Consultant will lead the design and delivery of solutions for client IT Service Management Asset Management initiatives built on IBM Maximo IT. In this role, you will work directly with clients and colleagues to understand business requirements and design a solution using the Maximo IT application, including Incident and Service Request management, Change Management, Configuration Management (CMDB), and IT Asset Lifecycle management. You will be responsible for understanding client needs and recommending solutions based on those needs. You will be expected to lead design sessions, document your proposed solutions, and participate in system testing to ensure the delivery of a quality solution., * Conduct design workshops to obtain client requirements and map requirements to solutions

• Designsolutions for service delivery, asset management, change and configuration management tailored to client needs
• Provide guidance to technical team to ensure continuity between design and development
• Validate technical solutions to ensure completeness before client delivery
• Provide guidance to client leadership, stakeholders and SMEs at both strategic and tactical levels
• Prepare formal and informal written documents and other communications
• Possess strong knowledge of work management, asset management and inventory management practices and associated Maximo modules
• Travel: Up to 25% travel required

This role is functional in scope, but it is not a generalist EAM position: prior hands-on delivery experience with Maximo IT (ITSM) is a hard requirement, not a preference. Candidates must be able to speak credibly to Maximo IT best practices application configuration, automation scripting, database configuration, and integration approaches in order to guide technical resources, validate build decisions, and interact directly with client IT stakeholders.

Industry experience and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role. You must be comfortable leading design workshops and writing high-quality documents.

This is a full-time role for a direct hire; contract employees are not currently eligible. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check., * Five or more years’ experience in IBM Maximo IT and/or its predecessors, such as IBM Control Desk

• Demonstrated experience leading design and development activities
• B.S. or higher in business, technology or engineering preferred, but demonstrated experience may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion
• IBM Maximo certification preferred
