Requirements

We’re looking for an entry level Linux Engineer / SRE to join our IT Infrastructure team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong Linux foundation, solid scripting aptitude, and an interest in growing into automation, reliability engineering, and infrastructure-as-code. You’ll work with experienced engineers to support the systems that keep our production environment running, while gaining room to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time., + 2+ years of experience working with Linux operating systems, ideally Red Hat 8+, including a conceptual understanding of core infrastructure components such as storage, backup, and monitoring (deep expertise not required - solid fundamentals are).

  • Understanding of virtualization concepts, such as VMware or similar platforms.

  • Strong Python programming skills, with the ability to develop scripts and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Familiarity with web UI concepts and making/consuming API calls.

  • Ability to write Ansible playbooks for configuration management.

  • Understanding of GitHub and its automation capabilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A collaborative, team-first mindset and the interpersonal skills to work effectively across a group.

Preferred (but not required) qualifications:

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or GitHub Actions.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs in a systems or automation context.

  • Coursework, certifications, or personal projects involving Linux or automation.

  • Support monitoring, backup, and storage systems, and help respond to issues as they arise.

  • Use Git/GitHub for version control and contribute to automated workflows (CI/CD).

  • Collaborate with the team on improvements to system stability, performance, and process.

Salary: The target base salary for this role is between $85,000-88,000 with additional compensation composed of stock options, competitive discretionary annual cash bonus, and discretionary equity awards. Actual salary within that range is dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
