Job description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background in Java or Python and extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and automation. The ideal candidate combines DevOps expertise with infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and the ability to build lightweight administrative interfaces that support operational workflows.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an engineer who enjoys designing scalable infrastructure, automating deployments, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient platforms., * Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.

Develop and maintain automation tools and deployment pipelines.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
Develop backend automation and tooling using Java or Python.
Create and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
Develop lightweight administrative dashboards and internal tools using TypeScript and modern frontend technologies.
Build and enhance admin panels for operational monitoring, configuration management, and support functions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize platform reliability.
Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and SREs to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

Requirements

5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong programming experience in Java or Python.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
Experience developing lightweight frontend applications or internal admin portals using frameworks such as React.
Experience designing and building administrative dashboards or operational tooling.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with Linux administration, scripting, and system troubleshooting.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows., * Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.
Knowledge of cloud security and IAM best practices.
Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other data stores.
Experience with API development and integration.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in distributed remote teams.
