Job description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background in Java or Python and extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and automation. The ideal candidate combines DevOps expertise with infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and the ability to build lightweight administrative interfaces that support operational workflows.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an engineer who enjoys designing scalable infrastructure, automating deployments, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient platforms., * Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.

  • Develop and maintain automation tools and deployment pipelines.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
  • Develop backend automation and tooling using Java or Python.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Develop lightweight administrative dashboards and internal tools using TypeScript and modern frontend technologies.
  • Build and enhance admin panels for operational monitoring, configuration management, and support functions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize platform reliability.
  • Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and SREs to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong programming experience in Java or Python.
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Experience developing lightweight frontend applications or internal admin portals using frameworks such as React.
  • Experience designing and building administrative dashboards or operational tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Linux administration, scripting, and system troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
  • Strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows., * Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and IAM best practices.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other data stores.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in distributed remote teams.
