Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in Austin. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional who is passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and building scalable infrastructure that supports modern software development., As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with software developers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to streamline software delivery, improve infrastructure reliability, and implement automation across the development lifecycle. You will play a key role in enhancing deployment processes, optimizing cloud environments, and driving operational excellence., * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated software delivery.

  • Build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Automate deployment, configuration management, and system administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency and release quality.
  • Implement security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including vulnerability management and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the engineering organization.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Ansible.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, infrastructure automation, and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes certifications, or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
