Job description
CSCI Consulting is seeking a Data Transmission Analyst to support its Department of War (DoW / DoD) client. This role is responsible for ensuring inbound and outbound data files, feeder files, interface transmissions, and scheduled data exchanges move between systems accurately, securely, completely, and on schedule.
Working closely with integration teams, data analysts, system owners, finance stakeholders, and implementation leadership, the Data Transmission Analyst supports transmission monitoring, file validation, reconciliation, issue resolution, operational readiness, and post-deployment stabilization. This role is critical to maintaining reliable data movement that supports federal financial reporting, compliance requirements, and mission-critical business processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound and outbound file transmissions, feeder files, batch jobs, and interface processing activities to ensure successful delivery
- Validate file completeness, record counts, naming conventions, formatting standards, and transmission requirements
- Perform reconciliations between source and target systems to verify control totals, record counts, and successful data delivery
- Investigate failed, delayed, missing, duplicated, or corrupted transmissions and coordinate resolution with technical and functional teams
- Monitor exception reports, transmission logs, alerts, and operational metrics to identify issues and support timely remediation
- Support integration testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover activities, and production readiness efforts
- Partner with integration, remediation, finance, and reporting teams to resolve transmission issues impacting data quality and reporting performance
- Support processing of ERP feeder files, GTAS-related data exchanges, and downstream reporting interfaces
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, operational procedures, escalation logs, incident records, and transmission support artifacts
- Assist with go-live support and stabilization efforts by monitoring transmission health and helping restore reliable data movement when issues arise
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
- 5+ years of experience supporting data transmissions, file-based integrations, interface operations, system implementations, or enterprise application support
- Experience supporting federal system implementations, ERP integrations, or large-scale data exchange environments
- Strong understanding of file processing, batch jobs, reconciliation techniques, data validation methods, and transmission controls
- Experience troubleshooting transmission failures, file processing errors, interface exceptions, and operational incidents
- Ability to coordinate effectively across technical, functional, client, and program management stakeholders
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting OneStream, ERP, financial management, accounting, budgeting, or enterprise reporting systems
- Familiarity with federal financial reporting processes, GTAS reporting, feeder file processing, and financial system interfaces
- Experience with secure file transfer protocols, automated scheduling tools, middleware platforms, or enterprise integration technologies
- Knowledge of production support processes, incident management, service operations, and system monitoring
- Experience supporting implementation cutovers, release management, deployment readiness, and stabilization efforts
- Familiarity with compliance-driven federal environments requiring traceability, documentation control, and audit readiness
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a Federal agency
- Department of War experience is a plus!
