Job description

You will build and operate the data foundation that powers Saga’s next generation of analytics capabilities. Your work will turn product usage, customer data, and operational signals into reliable insights that help law firms understand value, improve decision-making, and get more out of Saga.

You will take our proven data pipelines from POC to production scale, building the systems that support analytics across our growing customer base. This includes designing scalable ingestion flows, creating trusted data models and metrics, and ensuring the right balance between powerful insights and strict privacy standards.

As part of the Amplify Platform team, you will have ownership over critical parts of our analytics infrastructure - from event pipelines and profile data to KPI computation and the data layers powering dashboards, product features, and intelligent experiences.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and scale data pipelines for product events, usage data, and customer datasets.
  • Develop analytics infrastructure using technologies like Kafka, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL.
  • Own data models, KPI definitions, and metric layers powering dashboards and product features.
  • Build reliable ingestion processes for both structured and messy customer-provided datasets.
  • Ensure privacy-first data practices through anonymisation, pseudonymisation, and tenant-level controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to make data accessible, trusted, and actionable., We’re a team of lawyers, engineers, designers, and builders across multiple countries, with a startup mindset - flexible, fast-moving, and focused on what matters. We don’t believe in rigid structures or unnecessary processes, but we do believe in discipline: showing up consistently, following through, and holding ourselves to a high standard. Outside of work, many of us are active in sports - running, skiing, hiking - not as a mandate, but because we’re drawn to the same mindset sport builds: consistency, resilience, and a long-term view. If you thrive in a flat, high-ownership environment, you’ll feel right at home.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience with analytics databases (ClickHouse preferred) and streaming pipelines (Kafka).
  • Strong data modelling skills across OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Experience building KPI/metric layers and working with analytics sources such as PostHog.
  • A strong understanding of privacy engineering and GDPR requirements.

Benefits & conditions

  • A salary between €4,000-€6,000 gross per month (all-inclusive, based on a 40-hour week), depending on experience and skill set
  • The opportunity to shape the user experience of one of Europe’s fastest-growing legal innovation companies, serving legal professionals worldwide.
  • High ownership and autonomy - you’ll own product quality across the platform and make visible improvements every week.
  • A collaborative international team that values craftsmanship, thoughtful engineering, and continuous improvement.

About the company

Saga is a legal innovation company on a mission to remove the friction between legal expertise and real-world impact, so lawyers can focus on what matters the most: people, ethics, and impact. Founded in Norway and built for the legal profession from day one, we integrate with local legal sources across jurisdictions and are currently available in 12 languages. In just 18 months, we’ve grown to 70+ employees and 5,000+ users across 20+ countries - with market leadership in Norway and the Netherlands, and active expansion across Europe. We believe technology shouldn’t replace legal reasoning, but strengthen it - so the law can work as it’s meant to: aligned, accountable, and capable of delivering justice for everyone.
