Azure Cloud Engineer

• Design, implement, and support Azure PaaS solutions for databases and messaging platforms.
• Implement inventory and user entitlement controls across Azure database and messaging services.
• Engineer and maintain SQL and NoSQL database environments in Azure.
• Deploy, configure, and support Apache Kafka messaging platforms.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to automate cloud deployments.
• Participate in cloud architecture, security, and governance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize platform performance.
• Document engineering standards, processes, and cloud configurations.

Position Overview We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong background in databases and messaging platforms to support enterprise Azure PaaS initiatives. This role will initially focus on implementing inventory management and user entitlement controls for Azure-hosted database and messaging services. The ideal candidate has hands-on Azure engineering experience, deep SQL/NoSQL expertise, and strong Kafka experience. This position will also support future cloud automation efforts using Terraform and Java., * 2+ years of Azure Cloud Engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services.
• Solid database engineering background with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience implementing and supporting Apache Kafka.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience developing or automating with Java.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, and access management concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automation frameworks and testing tools such as Cucumber and Playwright.
• Experience automating cloud deployments and infrastructure validation.
• Familiarity with enterprise governance and security controls within Azure.
