Job description
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications supporting transportation and logistics functions
- Support systems related to:
- Freight and shipment processing
- Ticketing, billing, and invoicing
- Scheduling and routing
- Asset, fleet tracking
- Regulatory and compliance reporting
- Debug, test, and resolve production issues in a 24x7 operational environment
- Collaborate with business analysts and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation and program specifications
- Ensure systems meet security, audit, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience developing in COBOL
- Experience supporting high-volume batch processing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support production systems with minimal downtime
Benefits & conditions
$70 - $80 an hour - Contract
