Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our enterprise IT division. In this fully remote, long-term contract role, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing critical application systems using core technical frameworks., * Design, code, test, and debug high-performance systems and batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.

Develop and maintain transactional processing workflows within CICS environments to ensure high availability.
Construct complex DB2 database queries, tables, views, and perform targeted query optimization.
Analyze complex business requirements and software specifications to translate them into robust technical solutions.
Troubleshoot production environments, locate root causes of application faults, and implement fixes.
Collaborate with cross-functional architecture and engineering teams to support enterprise-wide platform upgrades.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Mainframe development?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

Proven experience building backend applications with deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
Strong understanding of transaction processing systems, data storage patterns, and batch processing models.
Exceptional analytical, debugging, and code optimization capabilities.
