Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our enterprise IT division. In this fully remote, long-term contract role, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing critical application systems using core technical frameworks., * Design, code, test, and debug high-performance systems and batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.

  • Develop and maintain transactional processing workflows within CICS environments to ensure high availability.
  • Construct complex DB2 database queries, tables, views, and perform targeted query optimization.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and software specifications to translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production environments, locate root causes of application faults, and implement fixes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional architecture and engineering teams to support enterprise-wide platform upgrades.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Mainframe development?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

  • Proven experience building backend applications with deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing systems, data storage patterns, and batch processing models.
  • Exceptional analytical, debugging, and code optimization capabilities.
