Systems Administrator

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proven System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure and cloud based systems’ health. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems and networks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and support solutions that meet our organization’s needs. US Citizenship required for this position; must be able to get and/or maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance., * Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.

• Monitor multiple cloud/data-center health and respond to cloud/hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
• Enable faster and smarter business processes through development of analytics to obtain meaningful insights.
• Assist teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause(s), and provide technical support when needed.
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
• Work with the Security team to manage and mitigate security risks.
• Communicate project status, activities, and achievements to internal and external partners.

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 5+ years of experience in system administration or a related role.

• Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, network traffic, content delivery, and caching.
• Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing.
• Expertise in operating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems, with experience in server management.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of networking/routing concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with vulnerability management & SIEM tools (i.e. Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, Graylog, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
