Job description

  • Business Analytics, helping district finance and operations leaders forecast, plan, and optimize resource allocation;
  • Comparative Analytics, providing districts with benchmarking data to measure performance relative to peers;
  • Student Analytics, which turns academic and engagement data into actionable insight for improving learning, equity, and achievement; and
  • Location Analytics, which leverages GIS technology to visualize student, staffing, and facility data on interactive maps for strategic boundary and resource planning.

Together, these solutions embody our mission: to help district leaders make sense of their data, communicate clearly, and act confidently.

How You’ll Contribute to the Mission

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join the D&A sales team at Frontline Education. This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role focused on selling D&A analytics solutions to K-12 public school districts. You will own a defined territory, work alongside a dedicated Sales Development Representative in a 1:1 outbound motion, and sell to senior district leaders including CFOs, Superintendents, and Directors of Curriculum and Instruction. This role reports to the Director, Data & Analytics Sales and is based remotely with travel as needed.

How You Will Drive Success

Territory and Account Planning

  • Own and manage a defined book of district prospects and, where applicable, existing customers within your territory.
  • Build account plans for priority districts that identify whitespace, key stakeholders, buying timelines, and budget cycles aligned to the school year.
  • Use Salesforce, Gong, territory reports, and AI tools to identify expansion opportunities and prioritize outbound focus.
  • Align outbound activity to the realities of the K-12 budget and approval cycle, including seasonal buying patterns.

Pipeline Generation and Outbound Execution

  • Partner daily with your dedicated SDR to drive a high-output outbound motion, ensuring consistent prospecting activity to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Generate new logo opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting, events, referrals, and Marketing-sourced leads within your territory.
  • Support cross-sell and up-sell campaigns with Marketing and Client Experience; follow up with disciplined, timely outreach.
  • Maintain a balanced pipeline across early, mid, and late stages to consistently deliver against monthly and quarterly quota.

Full-Cycle Sales Execution

  • Lead discovery conversations to understand district challenges and connect them to D&A solutions.
  • Position Frontline’s analytics products clearly against district priorities, focusing on data-driven decision making, resource optimization, equity, and student outcomes.
  • Articulate the combined value of D&A’s products and Advisory services as an integrated solution, not separate offerings.
  • Deliver scenario-based demonstrations reflecting real K-12 workflows and buyer priorities.
  • Develop proposals, manage evaluation steps, and coordinate internal partners to move opportunities through the sales cycle efficiently.

District Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with district CFOs, Superintendents, and operational leaders across your territory.
  • Project subject-matter credibility with technically sophisticated buyers; understand district finance, budget cycles, and data governance well enough to earn their trust.
  • Navigate buying groups, committees, and multi-stakeholder approval processes with confidence.
  • Represent Frontline at district events, conferences, and field engagements.

Pipeline Discipline and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity data in Salesforce at all times.
  • Provide consistent, reliable pipeline and forecast updates to your manager on a weekly basis.
  • Document deal outcomes, timelines, and expectations to enable clean handoffs to Client Experience and Implementation.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of B2B field or outside sales experience; experience in a high-velocity outbound sales environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and manage a full sales cycle independently.
  • Experience selling to public sector or K-12 clients is preferred; demonstrated ability to build credibility with executive-level buyers is strongly valued.
  • Comfort engaging CFO-level and Superintendent-level buyers on data, finance, and operational topics.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

  • Familiarity with a 1:1 AE/SDR outbound model and experience coordinating closely with an SDR partner.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM for pipeline and activity management.
  • Uses AI tools for research, personalization, and productivity; applies ethical AI practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a growing executive presence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize a high volume of outbound activity alongside active deals.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to travel 30% or as needed.
