Job description
- Lead the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide security systems and protocols.
- Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems in alignment with federal regulations, agency policies, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert-level guidance on security policy development, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Operate independently on mission-critical and high-visibility initiatives, ensuring security objectives are met without compromising performance.
- Serve as a technical leader by mentoring and overseeing junior staff and coordinating the efforts of personnel assigned to specific security initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex security requirements into actionable solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience performing duties aligned with this role (or an approved qualifying substitution)
- Current TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance
- IAT Level II certification compliance (required).
- Proven ability to lead security efforts in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and enterprise security architectures.
- The confidence and expertise to work independently while contributing to a collaborative security team.
