Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve secure, scalable software products that support critical business operations and customer experiences. In this role, you will lead the delivery of high-quality technical solutions across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with product managers, architects, designers, quality engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable systems.

The successful candidate combines strong hands-on engineering capability with sound technical judgment and a commitment to operational excellence. You will contribute to architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, mentor colleagues, and help improve development practices across teams.   • Lead technical design discussions and produce clear architecture, design, and implementation documentation.
  • Translate business and product requirements into well-structured, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, and data-processing components.
  • Review code and provide constructive technical guidance to promote quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with product, design, quality assurance, security, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Establish and improve coding standards, reusable patterns, automated testing practices, and development workflows.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, including performance, reliability, scalability, and security concerns.
  • Implement observability capabilities, including logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting, and incident-response improvements.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment activities, change management, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Mentor engineers and support their technical growth through pairing, feedback, and practical coaching.
  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and engineering approaches to inform platform and architecture decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across system performance, developer productivity, software quality, and operational resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Seven or more years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications or platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing distributed systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, and asynchronous integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated build and deployment tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing practices, including unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices, application security principles, and common security risks such as OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, business stakeholders, and senior leaders.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Developer, or Kubernetes certifications, are preferred.
