Job description

Tuuly Digital Solutions UK Ltd provides software development, cloud applications, workflow automation, systems integration and digital-product services to organisations across different industries.

We are looking for a skilled, analytical and collaborative Software Engineer to design, develop, test and maintain reliable software applications and digital services.

The successful candidate will work with product, project, design and technical teams to understand requirements, develop secure and maintainable solutions and support applications throughout their lifecycle. You will contribute to technical planning, code reviews, testing, deployment and continuous improvement activities.

This mid-level position is suitable for candidates with experience in software development, application engineering, web development, systems integration or cloud-based software delivery., * Software Development: Design, develop and maintain reliable software applications, services and system components.

  • Requirements Analysis: Review functional and technical requirements and clarify expected system behaviour with stakeholders.
  • Technical Design: Contribute to application architecture, database design, integration planning and development standards.
  • Code Quality: Write clear, maintainable and well-documented code that follows approved coding practices.
  • Testing: Create and maintain unit, integration and system tests to support reliable software delivery.
  • Code Reviews: Review code produced by colleagues and provide constructive technical feedback.
  • Systems Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between applications, databases, APIs and third-party services.
  • Defect Resolution: Investigate software defects, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrections.
  • Deployment Support: Assist with software builds, release preparation, deployment and post-release monitoring.
  • Production Support: Diagnose application issues and coordinate fixes with technical and operational teams.
  • Performance Improvement: Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to speed, stability and scalability.
  • Security Practices: Follow secure-development principles and help identify potential application vulnerabilities.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain development notes, system documentation, configuration records and support guides.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with product managers, business analysts, designers, testers and project teams.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate in planning sessions, daily meetings, reviews and retrospectives where applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to development tools, coding standards, testing methods and delivery workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in software engineering, application development or a related position.
  • Strong programming and software-development fundamentals.
  • Experience developing and supporting web, cloud or business applications.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented or functional programming principles.
  • Experience working with databases, APIs and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with software-testing and version-control practices.
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to understand and work from functional and technical requirements.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
  • Dependable, collaborative and improvement-focused approach to work., * Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related subject.
  • Experience with languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C Sharp or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
  • Experience with back-end frameworks and RESTful application programming interfaces.
  • Knowledge of relational or non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative code-repository platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or hybrid software-delivery methods.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker.
  • Understanding of secure-development and data-protection principles.
  • Experience working in a software-services, consultancy or digital-product environment.
