Job description

Join Axpo Iberia as a Software Engineer and play a key role in modernizing our invoicing solutions across multiple countries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of energy trading technology. What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and support bespoke software solutions.
  • Capture requirements effectively and document software processes.
  • Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers.
  • Create and execute designs for new functionalities within software projects.
  • Solve complex problems using sound problem-solving techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Prioritize tasks with customers and deliver solutions in line with expectations.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions.
  • Estimate effort, evaluate technology options, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ideally have 5+ years commercial development experience to act as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer when required.

Requirements

  • Engineering or computer science degree (or similar).
  • Proficiency in .Net development (predominantly C#)
  • Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git) and software delivery automation.
  • Experience in the energy trading domain (ETRM applications like OpenLink Endur is a strong plus).
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
