Job description

My client, a well-established organisation undergoing significant digital transformation, is hiring a Data Analyst to join their Business Transformation team based in Northern Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing data function where you’ll help drive business improvement through reporting, analytics, automation and modern data technologies.

You will be joining a collaborative Business Transformation team responsible for delivering data-driven insights that influence operational and strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders, you’ll design reporting solutions, analyse complex datasets and develop dashboards that provide valuable business intelligence. You’ll also have the opportunity to support automation initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform and contribute to the adoption of AI-powered analytics capabilities. This role offers excellent exposure to SQL development, business intelligence, data modelling and modern cloud data platforms, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within a forward-thinking organisation.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) is desirable.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud data platforms would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of data modelling, reporting standards and data governance principles.
  • Interest in AI, automation and emerging data technologies.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
