Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager with a construction/engineering background who has experience with negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will oversee all maintenance, planning, and project management for all facilities occupied by the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Cast and Guests at Disneyland Park and Resort areas within the Anaheim, CA area. You will work on new construction projects as well as maintaining existing infrastructure to support the DVC Sales team. You will interact cross functionally with teams such as DVC Sales, Member Services, Marketing, Construction, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), Facility Asset Management (FAM) and more to help with overall project execution., The Project Manager Construction Infrastructure (DVC) will report to Manager, Infrastructure Planning and Development and sit in Anaheim, CA., * Manage the development, implementation and closeout of all aspects of infrastructure projects, throughout the life cycle of the project. This includes project development, budgeting, site walks, punch walks and maintenance of all job files.

  • Oversee scope development, bid process, contract management, incorporating operational requirements, project scheduling, establishing a critical path to ensure schedule execution, and providing prompt and detailed communication with both the contractors and operational partners, during the life of the project.
  • You will help resolve any issues that may occur promptly and avoid cost changes by developing cost-effective options for resolution.
  • Responsible for all operational aspects of DVC Cast workspaces, which include security, custodial, maintenance, safety regulatory requirements, environmental programs, and vendor management. As well as all maintenance is required to maintain the upkeep and show standards of DVC kiosk, sales centers, and Cast (employee) back-of-house areas.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in planning, project management, or a similar field
  • Understanding and experience with building construction practices and materials
  • Experience working on project management processes and purchasing/contract management, including phasing of project schedule/timelines.
  • Experience managing project budgets; preferred experience working directly on construction finance (budgets, capital vs. expense).
  • Ability to read and review construction documents including construction plans, specifications books, and shop drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences at all levels of the organizations.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), SharePoint, and various project management tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Bluebeam Revu
  • Experience leading direct reports and a team (people manager) or overall leadership experience
  • Understanding of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) product
  • Experience interacting with both technical and non-tech staff (ie Marketing, Sales, Construction, Facilities, Operations, Asset Management, etc)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in construction/project management or related engineering field (Civil, Electrical, etc.)

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management specifically
  • PMP certification

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $101,000.00 to $138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
