Job description

  • Respond to employee questions regarding computer hardware and software and resolve technical issues in person, by telephone, or electronically
  • Observe and evaluate computer systems to verify proper operation and identify errors
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Monitor the daily performance and operation of company computer systems
  • Set up computers and other equipment for employee use, including cables, operating systems, and appropriate software
  • Maintain accurate records of technical problems, corrective actions, equipment installations, and system changes
  • Review technical manuals, consult with users, and perform computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems
  • Work with employees and management to identify requirements for new systems or system modifications
  • Develop training materials and procedures and train employees in the proper use of hardware and software
  • Evaluate hardware and software and recommend appropriate improvements or upgrades
  • Help ensure that technology equipment, facilities, and materials are obtained and used appropriately
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the established work schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Wald Wire management

Requirements

Previous experience providing computer hardware, software, or end-user technical support is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ERP systems, and technology support in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable., Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred. Equivalent education and relevant technical support experience may be considered., * Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and basic programming
  • Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, and other electronic equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 100 or E2 Shop System is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret written and verbal instructions in English
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
