The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Angular, SQL-based databases, and modern development practices, along with the ability to work independently, provide technical guidance, and contribute across the full software delivery lifecycle.

This role offers a hybrid schedule based in Pittsburgh, PA, with 4 days onsite per week and standard working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Stack Application Development: Design, build, and support full stack applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL-based databases to meet business and client needs.

  • Backend Microservices Engineering: Develop and enhance RESTful microservices using Spring Boot and related enterprise development frameworks, with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.

  • Frontend Development: Build and support front-end applications using Angular, contributing to user-facing functionality and overall application usability.

  • End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Take ownership of development work from requirements through implementation, including both front-end and back-end delivery, ensuring solutions are completed with quality and consistency.

  • Data & Reporting Support: Contribute to data-heavy application workflows, including Snowflake procedures, exception handling, and support for reporting solutions such as KPI metrics and Power BI outputs.

  • Quality Engineering & Test Coverage: Maintain a strong quality-first mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to achieving 100% unit test coverage across backend services and frontend applications.

  • BDD & Agile Delivery: Support Behavior-Driven Development practices using Gherkin syntax for feature files and work effectively within Agile sprint-based delivery models.

  • CI/CD & Automation: Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and promote an automation-first approach across development, testing, and deployment practices.

  • AI-Assisted Development: Use AI-assisted development tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, CodeX, Devon, or similar technologies to improve development workflows, code quality, design support, and test automation efficiency.

  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Work independently with minimal supervision, perform code reviews, provide technical guidance to junior team members, and collaborate effectively across pods, team leads, and business stakeholders.
