Job description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/ Analyst join a team providing Aviation Mission Planning and Airspace Control / Management Systems support for Mission Command Aviation Programs (MCAP). This position supports the Mission Planning portfolio by assisting with system engineering, software enhancements, and program requirements in a dynamic, collaborative, and mentoring environment on Redstone Arsenal.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Prepare work statements, including Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Technical Directives or Task Descriptions (TD).
- Create specifications and enhancements for software products.
- Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Develop, write, and staff briefings to diverse groups.
- Apply complex problem-solving skills to support mission requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant system or software engineering/analysis experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant system or software engineering/analysis experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Experience working in an Acquisition Product Office.

Excellent communication skills.
- Exposure to Agile Software Processes.
- Exposure to the Software Acquisition Pathway or other Adaptive Acquisition Frameworks.
- Strong Risk Management skills.
- Exposure to aviation mission planning or tactical airspace control or management.
- Exposure to Army Design Methodology and Military Decision Making Process.
