Job description

Technology Vetting & Governance

  • Own the end-to-end software intake, vetting, and approval/decline process
  • Coordinate Security, Privacy, Risk, Architecture, and AI governance reviews
  • Serve as final IT governance authority on software eligibility decisions

Application Portfolio Ownership

  • Own and maintain Olympus as the authoritative software catalog
  • Ensure accurate documentation of approved use cases, constraints, ownership, and lifecycle status
  • Govern portfolio rationalization, redundancy reduction, and sunset planning

Lifecycle & Roadmap Management

  • Partner with Application Service Owners to develop and maintain tool-level roadmaps
  • Track lifecycle states (emerging, strategic, maintain, retire)
  • Provide input into budgeting, renewals, and long-range planning

Stakeholder & Operating Model Integration

  • Coordinate with BRMs and BAs to ensure clean handoffs from vetting to delivery
  • Partner with PMO to provide vetted solutions for project planning
  • Establish and document standards, workflows, and decision criteria

Adoption, Communications & Marketing

  • Design and execute internal communication strategies to promote Olympus adoption
  • Educate the firm on available tools and expected intake processes

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track KPIs such as software reuse, time-to-decision, redundancy reduction, and adoption
  • Continuously optimize intake, vetting, and catalog usability

Team Management

  • The incumbent of this job directly supervises multiple non-supervisory employees. Leads by example; establishes clear expectations; sets direction and priorities; ensures that work levels are balanced among all staff; resolves internal staff issues in a timely manner; keeps staff informed of all appropriate information; builds effective team; delegates at appropriate level.
  • Fulfills supervisory responsibilities aligned with the firm’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Facilitates the development of staff by providing opportunities and support; provides timely feedback on work product; regularly coaches, evaluates, and recognizes staff performance and accomplishments.
  • Establishes/adheres to department budget; seeks opportunities to improve department efficiency and reduce expenses by streamlining operations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience, and a minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory or leadership role, or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and comfortably with a wide range of audiences.
  • Possess a breadth of perspective on IT technology and business issues.
  • Strong financial analysis skills include the intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Track record for leading change and proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills including verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Products

Reporting to the Director of IT Project and Business Relationship Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for governing the firm’s enterprise technology portfolio. Owning the software vetting and compliance process, and partners with application service owners to manage technology lifecycles and roadmaps. The role ensures that technology investments align with security, privacy, AI governance, risk, regulatory, and architectural standards while promoting reuse of existing tools across the firm.

This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
